Local Attractions

Enjoy the variety of landscapes and attractions from our ideal base on the Somerset levels. We are one mile from the Avalon Marshes Centre and the start of the walking and cycle routes to Glastonbury and its famous Tor through the Shapwick and Ham Wall nature reserves.

To the west is Bridgwater bay and the long sandy beaches of Burnham, Berrow and Weston super mare. To the north is the city of Wells with its cathedral, Bishop's palace and old market square with the backdrop of the Mendip Hills stretching back to the coast and Brean down. Explore the caves at Wookey Hole and Cheddar Gorge and sample the cheese! There are plenty of pubs and restaurants in the area as well as farmers markets, apple orchards and cider making and the well known Clarks village at Street for shopping.
